Brand new, uninked letterpress wood type printer’s fist manicule. CNC milled from end grain beech.
Design
Found on the packaging of ready-to-mail paper puppets designed by Chris Cowell in 1969. Vectorised by myself and offering both a simplistic and detailed version.
Materials
End grain beech hardwood finely sanded to type height. Each block is finished with shellac and polished with fine steel wool for a smooth print surface.
Scheme & Dimensions
Default type height is 23.32mm / 0.918” with a tolerance of 0.07mm along the end grain and relief depth of 2.5mm. Please contact us if you want a different line size, relief depth or type height, e.g. European type height (23.56mm).
Shipping
We welcome domestic and international orders. UK orders will be sent via Royal Mail. International orders will be sent with UPS or via the most relevant courier. Import duties, customs fees and local taxes are to be paid by the receiver.
