Introducing Czeska, designed by Andreu Balius at Type Republic! Czeska was designed taking into account the woodcuts created by Czech artist Votech Preissig (1873-1944) during the early 20th century.
This face has a huge amount of character and stands out beautifully in wood letter. The digital version can be found on the Type Republic website.
Materials
End grain beech hardwood finely sanded to type height. Each block is finished with shellac and polished with fine steel wool for a smooth print surface.

Default type height is 23.32mm / 0.918” with a tolerance of 0.05mm along the end grain and relief depth of 2.5mm.
